When Is the Best Time
You can hike on this trail throughout the year, usually best from March to October. However, one highlight is the two Kneipp basins for water-treading. This water is chilly and utterly refreshing form May until September.

Location and Tips
There are 111 hiking trails in Saarland and Rhineland-Palatinate called "Traumschleifen"; that means a dream of circular hiking trails. These trails are perfectly marked with the next intermediate hiking target information, the distance you've already hiked, how long you still have to walk, and the next highlight on your trail. The trails are abundant in variety and always even better than expected.
The trail is 14 km long, up and downhill in elevation 468 meters and takes 4-5 hours. It is an incredible trail many benches are provided for a break. The rock trail started with a few inclines to a beautiful rock cluster; the Devils Rock and the Bear Rock are geological-specific and habitat for special plants and small reptiles. Then through two stream valleys on a forest path, an awesome Celtic cult place in a beech forest probably with human sacrifice, across a stream to open meadows with scattered fruit trees.
One highlight was the second Kneipp basin on a hot summer day. The first one is at the beginning of the trail and the second after half of the track. The freshwater from the stream was incredibly cold. There is so much to see on this trail. Highly recommended.
